Ankita Lokhande On Being Blamed For Leaving Sushant Singh Rajput; Says ‘Sushant Made His Choice Very Clear; He Chose His Career’
Post Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, his former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande stood by his family like a rock. Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his apartment in Mumbai on June 14 last year, and his death shocked the nation. Ankita Lokhande, who had been showing her support to Sushant’s family, was later trolled by a section of Sushant’s fans for ‘moving on’ with her life. In the last few months, Ankita got massively trolled for posting happy videos, reels, and more. Now, in a tell-all interview, she opened up about the same.

While speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Ankita Lokhande said that people have been trolling her on social media and have been blaming her for leaving Sushant. She then questioned how do they know what really happened? While speaking about the time that she and Sushant broke up in 2016, Ankita said that she believed that keeping silent in situations was better. “Main apne rishte ke liye kar rahi thi uss time pe. Because I’m not someone ki main apne personal relationship ko baahar laakar uska tamasha banau,” she said.

However, she added that she is being misunderstood today, and people are blaming her for leaving Sushant. “I’m not blaming anyone. Sushant made his choice very clear, he wanted to go on with his career. He chose his career, and he moved on,” she said.


“But for 2.5 years I was dealing with so many things. I wasn't in a state of mind that I could go back to work instantly. But my family supported me. My life was finished, I didn't know what to do after that,” said Ankita.

Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput had met on the sets of Pavitra Rishta and later fell in love. They had been in a relationship for almost six years until they parted ways in 2016.
